Private Equity funds in Norway Activity Report 2022

Norwegian funds raised a total of NOK 27.5 bn. in 2022. Fundraising in the buyout segment was high in 2022 with NOK 25.9 bn., whereas fundraising in the venture segment was low compared to historical levels.

Fundraising levels have been growing in later years. 2021 saw a record high amount raised by Norwegian fund managers, more than doubling the amount raised from years such as 2020 and 2016. In 2022, fundraising 57 percent higher than in 2020, but 20 percent lower than the record year of 2021.
